    Hi all -

I'm afraid my 145.022-69 is up for a service. I also took a chunk out of the crystal a few months back when turning a corner at the office.

I wonder if there is any real downside to servicing at an ASC vs an expert watchmaker? There are one or two places here in Singapore I'd probably be okay with taking it in for work, whereas with the ASC I'm worried they will replace the dial and hands.

While I don't anticipate ever selling this one on, I'd like to maintain the value first and foremost. What would be the best option in this regard?

Watchmaker who knows how and has the parts. That way, you don't risk the factory replacing priceless vintage parts of your watch with bland new service replacements which will render your watch all but worthless from the collector standpoint.

I always use a good watchmaker, costs less and the wait time is 2-3 weeks as compared to 2-3 months.
