Hello, my local pawnshop pulled this out of the back and does not have it priced. I'm trying to 1 see if its real and 2 what its worth. They said to give them an offer but unfortunately I do not know much about these. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Have you done any research so far to try and identify it?

Well posting on here and reddit is my form of research. Unfortunately I couldn't take the watch apart or with me, so one picture and the community is what I have to work with. I can obviously look up what its worth at a base level, but this appears to be a 1960's speedmaster. I doubt they made replicas in that time but I sure as heck don't know

It’s genuine and you’re right it’s a 60’s model.

It’s known as a CB case, from around ‘66. Check out speedmaster101.net for a price guide and more info on this model.

Thank you for your help. Would you confidently say there's no way its a replica? I would be surprised if it was.

Also what's a bottom level price I could expect to get for it worse comes to worse and its good for parts?

It’s certainly not a replica. The bracelet is later, but the case, dial, hands and bezel appear correct. Obviously it’s not possible to give a full critique from one poor photo.
Have you looked at the website I suggested? There is a price guide on there

Lots to learn,

TBH, I do think that the pawnshop knows the value...

I agree with Hans, it’s very likely they know what they have. Personally I wouldn’t make an offer, I’d ask them as a professional dealer to state their price. Then you’ll know where you stand.

Assuming he is in the U.S. the fact the shop “had it in back” kinda makes me think they have a good idea. In my area they typically have three tiers. Invicta etc, then decent stuff tags and seikos. The good stuff usually goes in back or in my area they hold it for a special client, usually from NY.

I’m speculating a bit in this case but I know a guy who works in one he states it’s common practice. It’s always worth a shot though.

What pawn shop has it, I'll call and ask some questions for you and get back to you.

Legit and worth buying. Make them put a price on it, they are professional sellers.

Well here it is folks, I ended up going back to the pawnshop and offering them $500. They came back and said they have a wholesaler who buys all their watches but they want to make another relationship with a buyer and said if I could match his price of $900 it was mine. I bought it for $900 + taxes. What are you're thoughts? Where should I start with this assuming its worth a lot.

Yeah but you could have offered $1, and they would have countered at $401.

j/k I'm jealous.
