I am wondering what you guys think about the following watch: http://www.ebay.com/itm/391169127763?_trksid=p2060353.m1431.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:ITPurchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network Some pictures are a bit weird because of the background, makes the watch look fake. Thanks!
I think it's real. There was another similar watch on this forum some time ago: https://omegaforums.net/threads/vintage-omega-de-ville-thoughts-please.5285/ Hope this helps, gatorcpa
The data base says it should have gold hour markers. http://www.omegawatches.com/planet-omega/heritage/vintage-watches-database?ref=14324
Don't believe everything you read, especially when it comes to the Omega Vintage Database. There were generally multiple dial styles for any given case reference. For this watch, the case and movement match for sure. It is possible that the dial has been redone, but given the low value on these, I think it unlikely. gatorcpa
Hi All, I am new to the forum and hope you dont mind me asking but I have the opportunity to buy a similar watch and any advice would be greatly appreciated?
This is the other info I was given: OMEGA Deville Dress watch c1973 GENTS Automatic Wristwatch with 18K (750) Yellow Gold case and back, stamped and hallmarked. The Crown is Onyx tipped, the Strap is Omega original but the Buckle is not original. The movement is Calibre 711 with serial Number 36995915 indicating manufacture was c1973, the case has Reference number 151.7284 and is Ultra Slim.
No, I did'nt think it was but I will need to change the strap anyway so I'm not worried about the strap just hoping the watch itself is genuine. Appreciate the info so thank you for the reply
Hi again all, I bought another one which I think is a better watch for me, just managed to get the back off and can't tell what cal. movement it is? Any info appreciated as I know you all know your stuff when it comes to these watches
Cal is under the balance wheel. Dennison (ALD) English 9ct case. 11,31xxx places it around late 40s. Others will have to chime in on originality
11315938 if its not clear in the pic, didn't realise it was quite that old but nice to know. Can only see T2 under the wheel. Thank you
