Picked up this Omega Speedmaster racing from my trusted local pawn shop. Came full set and appears to be in unworn condition with the exception of light showcase/handling scratches. I got a pretty good deal on it but not good enough to necessarily raise any red flags. Ive been over the watch with a bright light a few times and everything feels/looks good to me HOWEVER.... I noticed the "90" circled in red on my second photos appears a bit off. The top of the 0 bleeds upwards a bit which has caused slight concern. The 9 also looks a bit wonky. Im still within my return window. Im still erring on the side that its okay and maybe just some wear or a factory defect. Any feedback is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

PS this is my first Omega so im a bit of a noob. Loving it so far though!

Id like to add that all serials numbers match, it came with a Joma shop warranty card aswell as their tags. After scanning the QR code on the Jomashop card, this exact watch and serial number came up.

I'm not an expert on this Speedmaster but everything lines up for this being a Jomashop gray market sale--which would mean the watch is not fake.

Maybe someone else can comment on the watch itself.

I don’t think it’s a fake watch, but I do agree that that bezel “90” is off. Like, off to the point where I personally would not buy the watch. But everyone has a different qc threshold.

Even if it doesn’t bother you, if you expect you might plan to sell it someday, it could be one to pass on, as other potential buyers might feel the way I do. These aren’t hard to come by.

—have you tried cleaning the bezel to see if it might just be some kind of residue or something? Use an alcohol wipe, maybe?

Keep in mind the bezel can be replaced. Omega might even do it for free if it appears to be a manufacturing defect.

Just curious, who did the authentication?
