    Hey Everyone,

Hoping someone can help me with authenticating this vintage watch. I watch dealer I trust is offering this up. He believes it is circa 1930's. Thoughts?

Thanks in advance for the assistance!

Shouldn't a watch dealer know that there were no seamasters in the 30's

1950's and wrong crown (difficult to find original gold capped - gold plated available). Hard to tell, but bottom lug looks worn through the gold filled case

Bet he's asking the moon for it also

Thanks Don! What would be a reasonable price for this? I'm going to go back and see if I can get a pic of the back and with the back removed. He's asking $400 CAD for it.

Case looks toasted, wrong crown, not a very good example.

    You can find much better

Like I mentioned on another post. If I bought. It would be for the movement and dial only. Case would be tossed and what I would pay for the movement depends on condition.

    Average. About $60

Look for something in better condition

By mid 60's. They were pretty much into the De Ville styled dials. Straight indexes and baton hands.

Bumpers phased out and using full rotors

Yes, its definitely not a "collectors watch" but I think its a nice watch for $ 400 if it keeps good time.
Is anything close to collector quality $ 1,000 plus ?

The Omega logo with rounded edges means it was from early 50's. It is powered by a 351 or 354 non chronometre, I guess.
