Hi guys, Thinking about purchasing this watch. Anyone know anything about Omega watches from this time period. Looks more a british issue with the 'WWW' on the caseback. Any input would be greatly appreciated
Its a fake. Looks very much like a Vietnamese or at least Oriental confection. God knows what the movement is, but it's not an Omega Cheers Desmond
As stated above, fake watch. In its defence, its quite likely it has spent some time in Vietnam, just in a sweatshop rather than a figher aircraft.
Don't worry, if you're after a nice Vietnam era mil watch, I found a nice "Breiling" here. http://www.ebay.com/itm/PATCH-US-MI...668?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item51bb597b6cPurchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network It has to be genuine, it's even got maps of Vietnam (Posted in the interest of educating the OP and others on these disgusting fakes).
If you like to own a Viet Nam War Watch, buy a Zodiac Seawolf. They were sold to the US soldiers at that time, not Omega.

seems that we have a recurrent situation.
