Thinking about purchasing this watch. Anyone know anything about Omega watches from this time period. Looks more a british issue with the 'WWW' on the caseback. Any input would be greatly appreciated

Its a fake. Looks very much like a Vietnamese or at least Oriental confection.

God knows what the movement is, but it's not an Omega

It has to be genuine, it's even got maps of Vietnam

Looks like an A. Schild maybe with a little added "Cotes de Vietnam" decoration.

If you like to own a Viet Nam War Watch, buy a Zodiac Seawolf. They were sold to the US soldiers at that time, not Omega.
