I was looking for vintage Seamasters online. I just got into the vintage watch game and this is going to be my first vintage watch/ Omega watch. I was wondering if anyone had any reputable places to shop for vintage Omegas or watches in general.

Recently online I did find a Vintage Omega Seamaster on Etsy from a shop in Slovania. I know this isn't the best place to buy watches. The only reason why I'm considering is the shop has over 450 sales with 5 star reviews. The description and service history for the watch is as follows.

    "
    Description
Perfect classic and very rare 1960s stainless 100% Authentic Omega Seamaster Calendar Men's Watch, features:
    - Stainless steel case, diameter 34 mm (measured without crown), case Ref. 147011SC, large seahorse logo on the case back,
    - Lovely aged cream color dial signed Omega Automatic Seamaster Calendar Swiss made, alpha shaped hands with original lume,
    - Cal. 562 high precision, automatic movement with date display
    - Brown genuine leather strap
Condition: The watch is very good condition, works well and keeps time, never polished or refinished, original dial in very good shape. Serviced and timed recently. Some very minor visible signs of wear on the stainless case, barely visible to the naked eye. The watch still has its original crown and crystal with the Omega logo.
A timeless Omega that is very hard to find especially in this condition, please keep in mind that the watch is 50 years old."

From what I found online the price isn't really off but since I was new this whole community I wanted to just check and be sure about everything and make sure the watch is original and an authentic. One thing I can't tell about this watch is if it's been redialed. I will message the seller about it.

Not fake at all. I've had this model and regret selling it, as it had an original factory black dial and the woman I sold it to stiffed me on the price (my son says it's broken) bah.

Rotor probably swapped out at some point, but a nice sharp case and an attractive dial. Depends on the price.

Can't see anything to get excited about here. Crown is a service replacement and not the correct type for this watch. Dial seems original but not everyone likes that uneven patina. Movement isn't exactly pristine. IMO a mediocre example of a not particularly rare watch. Don't bother unless it's cheap.

I honestly don't think anyone would be in a hurry to buy this.

I agree. You can easily find a lot better example, as the reference is not rare at all.
    What is the asking price?

The 14701 reference is a pretty attractive model, with a very distinctive heavily chamfered lug shape. I'd say this one is aesthetically in very good condition ( apart from the incorrect crown ) Most of these I see are over polished with ugly rounded lugs. I like the sharp case, patinated dial and alpha hands on this one...I think it is a decent buy...depending on the price of course!

I have this early radium dialed example in my collection and wear it often on a flat link bracelet.

The profile of those lugs is fantastic and the alpha hands are great, I’d be happy with that in my collection. All depends on the price.

Where is that problematic country called Slovania where there is no nice vintage Omegas?
