Bezel is ok, just misaligned. Price is high. Better pics would help.

What would be a better price? Can something this damaged be sent to an Omega facility for repair/ replacement of components in the hopes of improving the resale value?

Aesthetically it looks nice. You can get a new crystal with the tachy (it's a sticker on these I believe), leave the rest as is. Of course, service the movement - which you can get done by omega, though preferably an independent with an Omega parts account. Changing the aesthetic pieces won't increase value, it will decrease it.

Warning, case may be polished, can't tell from these pics.

$1500-$2000 maybe, but really need better pics, movement number, etc.

Quite a few scratches on case. Band is aftermarket generic. Would finding an Omega band from that period- 1970's- Increase the value?

In that condition really just a parts watch, closer to $1000.

Cheaper in the long run to just start off with a nice one.

Price way too high. Haggle to death if you buy this. Much nicer ones out there for much less money and accurate parts.

Yes, nicer ones are out there.

Adding a proper vintage bracelet would add value, roughly about as much as the bracelet cost, maybe a bit less. Omega also sells a modern version of the same. It looks like the original, but has slight differences.

If you want to wear and not care, go for a beater, fix up the movement and enjoy.

I had one restored by omega. It cost more than I could sell it for, but I like it. I were to do it over, I'd look for a good condition original one though.

Not a sticker - it's painted on the back side of the crystal.

The omega website quotes approximate restoration flat fees of ~$650 depending on strap type. Does that restoration fee include any needed replacements- crystal, bezel, strap?

I did a search and looked at the ones offered on ebay. They're all in quite good condition. Much better than what I posted about.

Regarding the service, it usually includes replaceable parts for the movement only. It doesn't include hands, dial, case parts (other than pushers and crown) or bands/bracelets.

    The 1162 bracelet is about $350 I think, maybe that's CAD$, I don't remember.

Some of the ebay ones are in better shape and more expensive. That's why the general opinion is that the watch you posted originally is too expensive and probably worth $1000-$2000 at most. To most here, it might qualify as a parts watch at best.
