    good morning members,

I've been looking for an original Ranchero for some time and as you can a again there quite rare ,I've can across this one on an action site there no photos of the case back or the movment but the description mentions the following : case 2969-1sc cal 267 price £2000
What you thought is this over priced or a good investment
    Thanks Steve

...but that means (if correct) that the watch should have "Seconde Centrale".
The subsecond type should have ref. 2900...

I have never seen a Ranchero with "Seconde Centrale" on it ever.

You need to be more precise. I have seen center-seconds Rancheros before but those WORDS were never printed on the dial.

The SC is part of the imprint on the inside of the caseback and means Seconde Centrale. The ones with sub second dial aren't stamped as SC inside. It's not on the dial.

Here's what I can tell you from mine.

Inside caseback is 2990-1 (no SC as its not center second)
    Cal 267
    Serial in the 16,629,xxx range

The hands look ok on the one you posted.
Dial is a bit worn out, but could be sympathetically touched up or left as is.

Here's a few pics for reference.

Dial and hands look ok. Crown is wrong.
Let's wait and see what's inside.

I'm not an expert on pricing and probably overpay more than some would as a result. Mine (above) was about $2600 USD.

So, assuming the innards check out, and considering the condition, it's probably not too far off. As you say, they're hard to find and don't appear often... so depends on what it's worth to you.

I can't find any hits for an 'omega 2969', but I could see how someone could misread 2990.. but that's a bit concerning.

As pitpro says, wait to see what's actually inside.
