Is there a better way you would recommend going about this? I really want a sea master pro but I'm totally new to all of this. Thanks for the observation

Buying a used modern Omega is not easy, there are so many pitfalls and a few great ones there also. Truth be told you can't trust no one, even reputable dealers can get it wrong. No substitute for patient homework and even then there are no assurances. If you want a good deal but can live with a little doubt buy used or be more patient save and buy new with zero doubt. It not only depends on what road you decide to take now but the road you are willing to be comfortable after the purchase.

Rotating bezel functions, but can be very tough to turn

IF BEST OFFER IS ACCEPTED, PAYMENT MUST BE COMPLETED WITHIN 48 HOURS
THE WATCH GETS A FULL OVERHAUL and C.O.A. SERVICING
IF PARTS ARE TO BE CHANGED or REPLACED, ONLY GENUINE PARTS ARE USED

Sounds like the watch gets serviced after you buy, but bezel doesn't work?

you may return it within 7 days of delivery.
The watch must be returned in the exact condition in which it was received, shipped UPS Air with signature required.
Re-stocking fees of up to 20% of price paid may apply to any returns and/or refunds.

Sellers first two requirements I'm pretty sure go against eBay policy. eBay allows 14 days to return if returns are accepted, and they are, and only requires a signature, not specified carrier.

You can find better examples, with box and papers, for less IMO. Lots of sites to get a good Seamaster.

Not a rare watch and plenty of reputable places to get these from - I would pass on this one.

I would pass. "Coming down on price privately" is a real good indicator of a seller that should be avoided. Besides, it's against ebay's rules.

Actually, it isn't. Just so long as the communication and transaction go through eBay's system, it's perfectly fine with them. All eBay wants is the commission.

I've gotten some of my best watches that way. ;)

This example would not be one of them.

I don't disagree, as long as it happens as you have outlined.

Since we'll never know, it's pointless to speculate.
