https://www.the-saleroom.com/en-gb/...6b4ee9-d8ed-4f30-8315-a8cd00f5ebd6?bidplaced= One owner watch I imagine. Bidding already up to £17.5k (which I believe is cheap for this model). What do we think it will go for?
I've handled this: non-runner; lots of movement in the bracelet; caseback can't be taken off with a wrench and small case holder. Cosmetically good. All original. I suspect this came from South Africa - nothing to corroborate this except I believe I know who is offering it.
32k inc. fees. I wonder if we will be seeing this watch again, or if it will go off to a private collection
If the omega 1040 would have the same 'chronomatic' print on the dial, being the 1st omega automatic chronograph, the price would most probly go even higher than this, if the basis of the price is only that print.
I think the Autavia is a liiiiiitle bit more valuable, considering it’s not just Heuer’s first automatic chronograph - it’s the first automatic chronograph period. Oh yeah and then there’s this guy....
i remember a friend who swapped his mint heuer shiffert chronomatic (4yrs ago i think) with omega bullhead for a swap value of $4,000. he must be rushed to the hospital right now.
