Had one when they came out in 1992, I enjoyed it but sold it a few years later. Wish I kept it. I like the ones with the hobnail pattern over the arabesque floral engraving.
Seems the floral may be hand engraved while the other dial is machine turned? Interesting spread of processes if so.
I am a fan of the watch. I also prefer the hobnail over the arabesque pattern, that being said originally my opinion was the other way but as I have learned more about watches I have grown to like the guilloche patterns more, this one is probably hand done which seems to be rarer these days.
They should be. But some manufacturers also use stamped dials as well, and these days you have probably have cnc machines that can create these patterns as well (in the 90s I do not think they existed).
I don't like it personally, but all this is subjective.. If you like it, go for it. I prefer the SS @OmegaP99 posted! Gold + floral engraving is not my thing at all
I think they are cool in the sense that there's one for each taste, I prefer more mechanical and technical like the turned dial, while some may prefer a more organic and flowing natural style like the floral.
