Well? Very different watches, but which would you go with if you had ~$20K for your next watch purchase?

11:59 ... if I was on a deserted island, alone, with 20k, and had only those 2 options available.

I dunno, 20k could provide a decent amount of light and heat if burned. Or could be used as toilet paper.

I'd prefer a regular RO. I have a 15400 silver dial but it's discontinued now. Given the current RO lineup, I'd say 15500 blue or black. I'm not a huge fan of the Dual Time but it's still better than the 11.59.

The Code 11:59 is trash, even a DW would be better. For 20k I would get a Lange 1.

If $20k is a hard ceiling and you prefer more of a classic dressier watch, take a look at the 15500ST range. I much prefer the sportier models and at that price point I would go with an ROO diver. If you can push your budget a little, or go pre-owned, an RO chrono would also be a good choice.

Look, I get the overall disappointment by most about the Code 11.59. But “trash”? A DW would be better? You’d rather burn and use the money as toilet paper?? Lol Surely you’re all being hyperbolic. What is it about the Code 11.59 that make people so passionately negative, almost angry? I’m genuinely curious.

I really don't know what they were thinking about with the 1159. Just looks average at best

Because it is an extrordinarily expensive watch that looks like it has all the build quality of an entry level Swiss watch costing $500.

To me it’s the full color (as opposed to two tone) version of what money would look like when used as TP...

Honestly, neither. I’d rather have a time only RO (15400?) over either of those. If I had 20k and I was looking for an everyday watch, I’d says the Overseas, or the regular RO would be much better choices.
