Hi
Any ideas on the origins of this brand? My dad bought this he thinks around 1967 but it's probably been sat since the mid 70's. He's wound it today but the second hand stops each rotation at the 6 o' clock point. Any ideas if its worth investigation/repair or not worth the investment. We cant find much about the name.
Regards

Hi Matt. It's one of the hundreds of brands that used generic movements (A Schilds, ETA, etc) that went out of business in the quartz crisis of the 70's. If it has a lot of sentimental value have it cleaned up & serviced. Otherwise it's not a valuable watch monetarily.

Thanks Dennis for the prompt reply. He's going get a local watchmaker to have a quick look. As I said it runs and seems relatively accurate. When it stops if you just move the fingers it starts right up again so maybe it just needs a bit of lubrication? The movement is very clean.
Thanks again.
Matt

Sounds like it needs a service, which will clean & lubricate the canon pinion (where the hands attach) as part of the work.
