I have two strange experiences with Auctionata. The first was when I offered a watch of mine for auction. They would gladly accept it and would put it up for auction with an €1800 estimate. To which I thanked them and told them I'd refrain from submitting the item because the (in my opinion) low estimate would mist likely lead to a self fulfilling prophecy. To which they replied that they now suddenly estimated it at €2200. Questionable practices. The second one was when they had a fake LeCoultre Valjoux 72c up for auction. I pointed it out to them. I got a reply that their experts reviewed the lot and could confirm that it was 100% legit. A LeCoultre 72c never left the factory doors. Fake. As. Hell.
Prior to a recent auction I pointed out an obvious, non-original dial (a Railmaster, I believe), and also that their "experts" were characterizing vintage Omega movements as having been "gold-plated". Experts, mind you.
