This weekend their is an auction with a few speedsters coming in Stockholm, Sweden. It´s the action house Kaplans (i´m not affiliated with them by any means, nor do I have any watches to sell). The missing facets on the lugs aren't the only problem with that watch.
Wrong chrono hand, wrong (modern) bracelet and a rather unattractive dial don't bode well for a high hammer price.

Looks like it's 60 000 usd already (?), must be high for such a boring model. What's funny is that they rate the movement at 7/10 even though the chrono function doesn't work.

Some nice JLCs in the catalogue though.

 

Are you guys talking about the same watch? The 2998-1 does even have a bracelet. Irrespective, that is a lot of money for a watch.

 

I'm looking at the 105.012 CB.
