Auction for an Omega... Erm...!?

    just saw it this morning... how much of this is omega? 60th anniversary hands? Unlikely! Anything else? What do you guys think and can you believe this stuff gets into auctions these days!?

    The strangest part to me is the subdial spacing - typically this is just never right and the indices are shorter next to the subdials, but in this case they are the same length all the way around. Without seeing inside that case though I'm still going on this being some sort of fantasy fake.

    At least the auction house isn't misleading you with title of lot.

    Unusual - yes, military style - in certain eyes ... yes , chronograph - yes and finally watch - ok you can have that as well .

    Looks like they had to snip the tip off the chromo hand to make it fit :)

    Case is almost surely from a double pusher Lemania cal. 1872 Fleet Air Arm chrono, hence the fixed bars.

    Caseback from a cal. 861 Seamaster, perhaps? Dial is some kind of improvisation...

    Would definitely be interesting to see what is under the hood, but the lot is now gone.

    Yeah definitely not at the opening bid. Would be fun at $200 maybe, but without more info...
