I have a real soft spot for good watches in terrible condition. A soft spot my wallet can attest to. So, if anyone wants to spare my wallet further abuse, feel free. If this does go for £500, it'll be going to me and then to my watch repairer. https://www.the-saleroom.com/en-gb/...0088/lot-7ace7cec-a0fe-4528-b7dc-a69f00a5b66f
Yes pound lost 20% against the eur...Time to get some bargain? But anyway some job to do on that one to refresh it...
It appears to be a 145.012 - and worth way more than 2500 pounds, let alone the lowball estimate. Dial appears to be browning some too. Scratch that - those are 105.012 pushers aren't they? Guess this one really needs a movement shot.
Hammered at 5,500 quid. A bit rich for my liking given two mediocre pictures and no caseback or movement shots. Good luck to the buyer!
There were a lot more photos released later and it's a 105.012-64 (from memory). It was rough but all there and eminently repairable. What that repair would cost? MIn £500 and possibly into four figures but then it might be valued into 5 figures so it's not surprising that it realised what it did. There's another thread floating around somewhere with all the photos.
