··Nowhere near as grumpy as he used to be...Its a Valjoux 7734 movement. Pretty standard stuff. Singer dial, J.P. Pingouin was the casemaker they made watches for companies like Le Jour also.

·No numbers between the lugs. I was hoping someone here either worked for Atlantic Records or received one of these during this time period. Would like to know if what I've read online is true. If true would be neat to find out who received this piece.

There seem to be a number of these around. The 7733 production started in 1969 and I'd say the case design would have been out of fashion certainly by the mid-1970s, so that gives you a date range to ask about.
At first I thought the hands might have been replaced because they are so long, but all the photos I've found have similarly long ones. Dial looks very nice, and the twin "Pulsations" / "Miles/h" seem to be common for these Pingouin specials.
It's an interesting watch even without knowing who may have received it.

·Oh wow thank you for the information! I completely agree. Even without its history I think I'll enjoy it and put into my rotation. I still find it to be attractive.

He missed out "Poor Man's Heuer" 😁
It isn't quite, but damn close. That is what I thought at first sight and why I asked for numbers between the lugs.
