I, along with a handful of other watch geeks attended an event at the Atlanta Omega Boutique last night (Monday)

Staff were extremely knowledgeable, professional and patient to take us around each case and let us fondle Basel pieces, Olympic pieces, and tons of other Omegas that hit just about everything they have to offer. Plenty of drinks, finger foods and just a good time.

NOTE: Picture credits to watch family members Nick (Zidane) and Bill (gaopa)

    Thanks for the assist!

Other than the Snoopy, my favorite watch of the night was the FOIS. Sorry, no picture, but I seriously dreamt about it last night.

I think it can co-exist with my 3570 given that it is 2mm smaller, straight lugs, sapphire crystal and different hands.

Gotta make a plan to fund one of these asap.

Best typo of the month! Globmaster - sounds like the title of a B horror movie. :p

Thanks for the pricing info. Next question for crystal ball gazers, what do you think the prices will do second-hand? I mean what is the normal state of non-limited edition pieces after release? I assume it's like buying a new car and the price will come down a fair bit in a year or so. I know there are lots of subjective determining factors but they are not limited edition so assume the will behave as others have in the past (don't worry, I don't deal shares with that logic).

Not bad prices when you think about it...
Platinum is $44,000, also pretty good for platinum.

What remains to be seen is if there will be an adjustment given the strength of the US dollar..

Prices are in CHF when released at Basel, so the prices above reflect that exchange...but with only ~5% difference now, hopefully when new models hit the market, it will be adjusted. I can understand how they would not want to "Decrease Prices", because of the negative connotations that would evoke, and I can understand needing to keep the Ceramic prices on par with the current offering, but I hope that at least the new lines will see a bit of adjustment.. Otherwise, the US market is paying a surtax to support losses in other markets...

At some point US retailers would have to feel that crunch, if ADs (not grey Dealers) from other markets start stealing their sales...
(eg - just come to CANADA right now - Buyer's heaven!)

If you look at the negative space, it really looks like an angry alien screaming. Might not have a good sleep if I dreamed about it. ;)
