I would love the AT if it wasn't for the stunted hour hand. It looks like it's broken off. I've seen older ATs without this style of hands and I much prefer those.

I like this one a lot. But I wasn't sure when I would wear this one. I'm a sucker for a white dial but wasn't sure about the shiny chromed indices.

Very poor alignment of the date in the window - outside even Omega's generous tolerances...

Sorry - can't turn the watchmaker side of me off...

You're right, it does. I often look at that hand and wonder...

The boutique I buy from refers to these as the golf watches...

@Archer The crown looks to be out so perhaps it's mid turn between switching to the next numeral on the date aperture?

I don't think so...the 8500 has a semi instantaneous date change, so I would expect the date to be starting to change after 11 sometime, not at 10 ( unless the date change is also way out of tolerance). For the "quick set" well this one you have to advance the hour wheel in 1 hour increments, so it's not at that position or the hour hand would be near 12...I think it is poor alignment personally.

BTW looking at it again, that gold hand just seems out of place to me aesthetically also.

    Cheers, Al

Hmm perhaps a bum piece then? I've handled one of these and it all looked very good.

I think it's just a parallax thing because I had to tilt the watch away from me in order to reduce the reflection of the overhead lights...

Interesting, just checked on mine and the date is definitely aligned. Now that you mention it it's true the gold second hand is a bit off. And I love the AT Line but never noticed this model.
