AT 8900 Bracelet on AT 8500: Does it Fit?

Some time ago, I read some threads and watched some YT videos about swapping the brushed bracelet on the AT 8500 with the new PCL bracelet on the 8900. "Fully interchangeable" they said.

In anticipation of finally getting my hands on a reference 231.10.42.21.03.001, which comes with bracelet 1586/985. I purchased a PCL bracelet off an AT 8900 (bracelet STZ006975). Well, my dream watch finally arrived, and I can't get the PCL bracelet to go on - it seems the spring bar ends don't align with the holes on the lugs.

Can anyone tell me how to make it fit, or have I been mislead by the internet authorities?

Thanks in advance and excuse my ignorance if this is a "duh" scenario.

I have the same issue with the rubber strap not fitting the older case model.

I don't think the lug holes match. The newest model does have shorter lug lenghts than the previous version so that might be the problem.

I believe you're right. I've been reading some other threads about this and some owners simply retrofitted the newer clasp.

The 8900 has a 41mm case, whereas my 8500's case is 41.5mm which it seems that it makes it different enough to where things don't line up.

For a PCL bracelet, it seems that the 1567/963 might be my only option - I'll research further before buying blindly again.

I made the same mistake in picking up the strap and clasp. At least I can use the clasp but I guess I'm selling the strap soon馃榾

I know this is an old thread, but the new strap does fit on the old AT... if you use thin spring bars. Just clarifying for anyone else who stumbles across this thread.
