    In US dollars: $52,900.

The fonts don't look right to me, but I'm on a small tablet.

Is the hint of redial due to the slight curvature to the outer lip of the seconds register? The signature looks perfect!! The numerals are painted on the sloppier side as well. My gut screams polished lugs. Must be some "important" aspect of the Caliber or sig

Full disclosure this is IMO! Corrections/criticism welcome - Here to learn & not well versed in IWC

    Best,

Are you saying this is your watch and eBay listing?

Why the price? It’s a nice gold Three handed dress watch. I didn’t think IWC had entered crazy town.

No. Where did you come to that conclusion?

I have a similar 18kt Cal. 88 that I’d be happy to get $2,500 for, so you’ll see me dancing down the streets of Toronto if this one sells.

I literally mocked the listing by posting "important"

It was a question, not a conclusion, because of the ambiguity of this part of your post:

*Edited to correct autocorrect's incorrect assumptions.

Some of my most important learning moments occurred while being corrected - I invite it & want it so I can absorb & improve

I'm certainly no IWC expert, but the only thing that looks "right" on that dial is the IWC logo script.

Correct. Subdials on original dials usually have sharp edges, not blunt edges. (the notable exception being square or rectangular watches).
Also the indexes on the subdial appear uneven in thickness and length - some creeping up on the edge, some not.
On very rare occasions one can find an imperfection on an original dial, but their combination is a major giveaway.

    Yours is much nicer.

Only this seller lives in crazy town. He probably had to fill out special paperwork to import a sane IWC into that place.

I'm tellin' youze guyz - the Seiko Pepsi is gonna show up in the sales forum at an asking price of $25,000 soon.

Dennis, he has it listed with "Make an Offer." I looked at his feedback and almost all of the watches that he has sold were by a "Best Offer Accepted." So, it looks like he never gets what he is asking for.::screwloose:: This one is primed for another one of your $1.00 offers.:D

Considering just the dial signature, IMO it looks like a redial when compared with IWC dial signatures used from 1941 to 1960 that Vintage Caliber posted on IG earlier this year. VC said they are some, but most likely not all, signatures IWC used for their dress watches. There are some differences that suggest this is a redial even taking into account VC's qualification:

    - Upper case I in "International" has an extra vertical stroke in the middle
    - "Co" has a dot under the "o" whereas all VC's signatures either have a bar or nothing underneath

The use of SWISS MADE in that period looks dubious too, as does the paintwork on the numerals, indices and subdial.

    1942 cal 83 for comparison.

The only knowledge I have is geometry. Regardless of font, "International Watch Co" is poorly centred on the dial.

I like the fact that he is asking for 20$ shipping ::psy::
If I would sell a watch in that amount I would go at the buyer myself
and make a week holidays at his town after taking the money.
Also I would go and take care his garden for 2 hours every day that week.:D:D

He'd probably think you were casing the joint, wanting the watch back.:D

No that would be in our deal as an extra offer from me,that's how big exited I would be,so he would not think anything bad would happen.
It is 45.000 euro for god's sake :D:D
