Hi all, so I recently purchased one of the cal 2500 36mm ATs from Crown and Caliber, and while I love the watch, it seems like its going to need a service soon. The power reserve is rather low (barely lasts a day off the wrist on a full wind) and its starting to run slow (15-20 seconds). Thoughts? Go independent or Omega?

I think Omega as the 2500 movement has had engineering updates in the past that you might need.

This is an approx. 06 Model, so i imagine its one of the older 2500s. I take it Omega is my best bet for service?

For that particular watch, I think so. It's not old enough to be collectible, and any upgrades they install will definitely be worthwhile getting.

I can't speak to C&C's service capabilities, but don't they offer a warranty? May want to consider checking with them before going through another service provider, be it Omega or third party. I'd be pretty annoyed if I paid their prices and got something that was running poorly and this much out of spec.

15-20 seconds per 24 hours? And (please don’t be insulted by the question) are you sure you’re giving it a full wind? How many turns?

I had my 2504.50 36mm serviced by Omega a earlier this year. Took 6 weeks and no mention of any swapping of movements. Not the original owner and no papers. Serial would roughly date to 2006 if that can be relied upon.
