Unfortunately people aren't being held accountable. There's a large population in the USA who are saying some democrats and elected officials are pedophiles. There's even a "joke" in our own humor thread that suggests this.

(Never forget.)

There are plenty that are, along with many celebrities, and they engage in actively hiding this for obvious reasons. You heard of this couple? Maxwell and Ep-something? Hmm, nah, never.

As long as we keep the same energy of accountability across the board, I'm good with it.

Yep, that's the guy had a plane that the republican presidential nominee flew on seven times.

It's not so much the bean counters these days as the MBAs, with their mantra of "profit at any cost"....

I know a couple Boeing suppliers. They both indicated that Boeing eliminated a significant chunk of their engineering staff over the last few years. Most of the QC operations were pushed back to the suppliers. This has come back to bite them.

Not really, only if you feel that you're part of the granfaloon that takes umbrage in being partisan with their accountability. (mixed up my vonnegut)

These two aren’t congruent.

Where did I favor one side or the other, as opposed to everyone else in the room? Please enlighten me.

He's certainly polarizing and the MSM is to blame, as usual, for their need (read: paid) to only produce negative content about certain people.

Why aren't more republicans calling for Matt Gaetz to be strung up?

I think the only person responsible for Elon being polarizing, is Elon.

You said, contextually:

There are plenty [of Democrats] that are, along with many celebrities, and they engage in actively hiding this for obvious reasons. You heard of this couple? Maxwell and Ep-something? Hmm, nah, never.

If you had meant to specify politicians (including Republicans) you could have made your post (which was a response to a post about people accusing Democrats of pedophilia) a lot more clear. There is absolutely no doubt that because of Epstein's involvement with the Democratic Party, that is used as a springboard to say that Democrats in general are pedophiles. If you didn't mean this, please clarify. 😀

You and I know each other, have history, and I think like each other. This discussion is not going to improve our friendship. What was allowed to take place with Epstein and Weinstein, etc was appalling and stomach turning. Everyone should be held accountable. My beef is with using this as a playbook to smear others who you disagree with to gain a business or political advantage. I am not saying you have done this. It is something that is a thing in parts of America.

Boeing has a lot of catching up to do, for sure. Hopefully they'll be able to figure out the leaks and thrusters. One of their program heads came from the shuttle program and claimed that helium leaks was an on-going issue in the Shuttle program. He wants to find the reason for the leaks but is suggesting that it isn't as worrisome as it appears ( although there are no small problems in space.)

To be fair to elon, he has done a lot of good in terms of electrification and space travel. He has faults, but I am glad we have him as part of our culture.

He gets mainstream media attention as much as he does because one of his faults is that he has a tendency to say really stupid stuff really publicly. It should be possible for us to applaud his Innovation while simultaneously condemning his idiocy, but unfortunately human culture has a tendency to either demonize or worship people.

“If it’s Boeing, I’m not going”
If it's Boeing, I might not be going (home). Apologies to all my friends that work at Boeing.
