    Hi guys!
The Speedmaster-series is still a jungle for me and I hope you can help me with this one. This is offered at just under $5000.
The seller dosent know anything about watches, but has set a price based on information given by a watchmaker.
She emphasizes that shes open to offers.

The thing is that what I know to little about these vintage Speedmasters to know if the deal is OK or not.
To me the dial lacks patina for its age, so my first thougth was that this is a service dial. I also think the bezel looks too good for a watch this old. Hopefully Im wrong.
Other than that the case looks pretty sharp and the watch is recently serviced..
    What do you guys think?

Dial is indicative of a 66-68. Not a 69. Need a look inside to be sure of what it is.

    Oh.. I see..
Thats tricky when the seller doesnt know what shes selling :)
The information given in the listing is what she got from her watchmaker, and to find out more I have to meet her and look at it myself.
If its that early shouldnt the bezel have a dot over 90 and not next to 90?

Yes, unless it is a 69 with a correct bezel but incorrect dial

Could you educate me on why this has to be an earlier dial? Is it because the Omega logo should be painted on in the -69 dial?

Yes. The 68s, 145.012-68 (321 Caliber) 145.022-68 (861 Caliber) were the last with applied logo dials.

The bezel and most likely hands are service replacements.... well maybe not 69T? But the Transitional did not get a DNN.

Need to see the inside case-back and serial number plus which movement it is. That establishes if the Watch was put together and what it should have.

Let’s step back... a 68 or 145.022-69T even missing the DON in this condition is over 5K...

Big tip for a newbie ;)
Never think you are the only one looking at a speedmaster if it's on the Internet.
    And
Only reason it hasn't sold in 24hr,s is it's got wrong parts or its over priced.

Seen watches listed for 8 minutes with 5 watching already:whistling:
