I'm having dinner with Mr. Aeschlimann next week.. (look Hodinkee... I can spell his name!) I can't promise to relay all of your questions/concerns... but I keep saying that I'm not a blogger, and the only thing driving me is passion for the hobby, and the brand. I've been fortunate and blessed enough to be able to indulge myself in this hobby, but have learned so much from this community. Something that has only solidified my love for the brand... I said it to Stephen, and I continue to say it to Raynald, that one of the reasons that I love Omega so much, is that I've never met an Omega-man that I didn't like... I can't say the same for the Rolex/VC/AP/PP/Breitling guys... Something about the brand seems to attract the 'right' kind of person... So I recognize that there are many who love the brand as much as I do, but may never get the opportunity to whisper in the CEO's ear.... So here we have this thread.... is there anything you guys want me to say/ask/show?
Great opportunity! If there was only one Speedmaster reference he can have, including vintage and current production, which one would it be?
This. Please. I don't have access to an AD or a Boutique. Independents are my only choice for servicing my vintage Omegas, and all the ones around here do not have parts accounts. ETA: Thank you for this generous offer. It's kind of you.
Though I guess technically, they do allow access to parts, for watchmakers who meet specific requirements. I guess it's more the supply houses who will sell on to the general watch collecting public that's the issue. I'll go with "less is more"..
Can you please plant a little seed in his head to try and get the Constellation line back to an era of awesomeness? #MakeConstellationsGreatAgain
Any chance they can start slimming things down on the PO side? Any chance they can resect the He tumor on left side of the case for a cleaner look?
I think the way the Speedy Tuesday was sold was the fairest way to sell the watch, could Omega sell all LEs this way but in a way that everyone gets a fair crack of the whip. ( deposit?, equal amounts of watches for different parts of the world might solve the time difference problem) If it wasn t for the internet I would never have got the chance to reserve one of these. There isn t even a swatch shop, never mind a Omega dealership in Malawi.
