Link tax” and “meme ban” respectively......The Directive on Copyright aims to place more responsibility on websites like Facebook, YouTube and Twitter to enable copyrighted material isn’t being illegally shared on their platforms. In simple terms, the Directive on Copyright shifts the responsibility of copyright protection onto the sites themselves. Article 13 would mean that online platforms have to filter or take down copyrighted material from their websites. Taking Memes as an example for the most part, they should be protected as parodies, and therefore won’t be removed. However, opposers argue that filters may not classify some memes as parodies, meaning they will be removed regardless.
EU member states have two years to introduce their laws in line with EU regulations. It might mean only 'approved' content from big players is allowed and or innocent posts are removed to avoid risk.....a 'may contain nuts scenario' Most importantly, this filtering is highly prone to error, missing content in violation and overzealously flagging content that does not

The Best of Europe’s Web Went Dark yesterday. We Can’t Let That Be Our Future.……..The first salvo drawing attention to the damage the directive will cause has come from the European Wikipedias. German Wikipedia went completely dark for the day...
The sites that are shutting down for a day in protest are, without question, sites that are home to European creators: the very people that Article 13 and 11 adherents claim to be protecting. That these parts of the European creative community are so concerned about their own future, and the wider ecology of the Net, should be a giant, flashing, warning sign to all MEPs. If you’re in Europe, contact your MEP, and join the protests this weekend. The future doesn’t have to be as dark as it looks today.
