I was wondering how much stainless steel ones go for now? The early ones like 501 and 505 movements.. I see these prices on the ones from Japan going for big money but not much available anywhere else, is that the going prices? Are ones that are presentable go for closer to two grand or three?

You've asked a bit of a nebulous question.
(and you don’t mention which currency)
It all depends on the reference and the condition.

edit
And of course whether you are buying from a dealer or privately.

It's always best to research the market for yourself by identifying actual sales of the specific models you are interested in. You can do this using hammer prices (not passed lots) from auctions, the eBay SOLD item search, items SOLD on forums, etc.

It takes a little work, but will give you the confidence you need to jump quickly on a good watch when you find it.

Finding one of that kind in that condition, at any price, is already an exploit…

That's the thing.. people here say they should be going for around two grand, but you can't find anything for that price that is remotely attractive.. I don't get it, many other watches like Rolex and moon watches have gone up so much, it feels like nobody wants to admit that this watch has too.. it feels like denial..lol!
I'm just wondering, I have one that is not near as perfect condition, patina, but is very attractive and all original, every six months or so I come here to see if the price ever went up.. but it never seems like it does and meanwhile there is never any for sale...
So I will check back in six months or so..
I'm not gonna sell ever.. I just want my baby to be appreciated more that is all.. I would never sell it.

This one is a redial.
And I think it has a replacement seconds hand.

I agree, Constellations in general are underpriced. I'm not sure why when compared to Datejusts or similar dress watches. Just means it's a good time to buy and not so much to sell

If it is a redial, I'd like to know who did it... It is a very good example of non-pie pan arrowhead to me

What make you think the opposite?

That's a very strong statement, how about this one then?

Picture 😉

This is where condition condition condition comes in. Great condition watches appreciate more than average condition.
A perfect condition arrow marker Constellation is a grail and not traded as much as some others.
