Early 861 now with busted pusher. Is this a quick fix to replace them? How far apart does the watch need to be taken? How long would it take for a proficient watchmaker to replace in terms of actual working time? The movement was serviced a couple months ago with the Original pushers left unchanged, hence now broken.
Here is an old post on another form: http://forums.watchuseek.com/f20/how-change-pusher-tubes-196441.html
Note that not all pushers are screwed into the case, as some a friction fitted, so require a different approach to replacing them. To the OP...not a big job. Just requires the movement to be removed from the case, then swap pushers, then install movement again. Depending on the type of pusher this is a 30 minute job maybe. Cheers, Al
Thanks Al, it's a good bit of a drive to the watchmaker so I'll hope to get make arrangements to get it done same day.
Arr, that be correct ! Arrr, you Skippy's ar known fer be'in a bit forward, but it not be'in September in all. NO!
If its a 145.022Speedmaster case then it is a straight forward job if you have the right tools. I assume you would be replacing both complete pushers?
