If you are looking to do any light holiday shopping for the NASA fans in your life, this auction may have the perfect item. Personally, if anyone here is looking to get me a present, I'm pining after the Apollo 11-flown Lunar Spacecraft Identification Plate. but maybe you prefer a part of the Wright Flyer.... that went to the moon.
but unlike a second hand on an Ultraman, no one will doubt its original color was red! (and no extract required! another plus!)
Buzz might have dropped his "First Watch Worn on the Moon" between the driver seat and the center console, and then totally forgot about it ...
I tried to have a real conversation with my wife about buying this. She said “yes”, until I told her what the opening bid is. I guess I’ll just have to hope a Purdue grad buys it and donates it to the school so I can see it.
So many wonderful souvenirs! Everything about space is expensive, down to the autographs long afterwards.
Yeah opening bid of $32K for the one I posted, $40K for the Purdue flag and $45K for the plaque Crazy! But so many cool things.
