Howdy team. Had a watch arrive today a set of box/manual cards that I don't think (99% certain aren't) are original to the watch. Not even sure they're legitimate omega. The box/manaul... no great shakes, either way, they're pretty worn out. The cards... real? re-issue? replica?
Why do you think they aren't legit? Do the numbers match the watch? They look pretty similar to my 2002 X-33 cards, i.e. faded yellow and pretty similar without checking to all my turn of the millennium stuff. Are the holograms real?
Hologram on the warranty is a hologram - I've not seen one with the number vertically to the left of the hologram... but then there aren't a lot of decent pictures of real cards on the internet.
I think this is normal. AFAIK, until recently the chronometer status was shown like this with a separate card, it is only recently they have cheapened out and added a logo to the pictogram card and reduced the number to 2. I will check some of my 1998-2002 stuff later if you like but I think those cards are the real deal. Post a pic of the box if you want an opinion on that too.
Looks totes kosher as I assume the yoof say. Take a look at the year on the instructions, it should be 2000-2002, if it is later it has been added but that really wouldn't worry me at all. The lack of date on the card probably means it sat in a jewellers case for years without being sold, again not really an issue.
The operating instructions should be 05 as per the pictograms card. Not sure why anyone would fake the cards for such an obscure reference number. Most of the fake ones on eBay seem to have the Omega symbols on the background of the cards printed too boldly. Yours look fine.
