Uncle Seiko will have two more bracelets shortly, one of which is a reproduction flat link.

But buying an 1171/633 from Omega is the best all-Omega choice.

I have a 1175 on my 1976, much prefer it to the 1171. I terms of straps I cannot go past Jones In Tokyo on Etsy. Fantastic range, beautifully made, look great on the Speedy.
Good luck with your search.

+1 Jones in Tokyo recommendation. His straps are the best I've ever used.

That sounds promising! Do you know which type of flat link is in the planning? 18,19 or 20mm? And will they be available with end links?

19 and 20, we think. He hasn’t said for sure yet. Also a 20mm Holzer.

you can also buy the flat link reissue at the OB from the 50th anniversary Apollo 11 for $710 (yikes!) and it very comfortable like the OG 1039

Does anyone know if you can fit a micro adjust clasp on the flat link reissue?

I have high hopes for Uncle Seiko’s flat link reproduction. I really hope it has brushed center links and polished side links like the Apollo XI edition. I hear great things about his quality, but beads of rice is not my style.

I am not partial to $700+ for an OEM bracelet, but I also haven’t found any generic/aftermarket bracelets in a style that I like. I wonder about the unbranded, third party Speedmaster-style bracelets on eBay, but for the $40-80 they run, I’d rather save the money and get a preowned OEM Speedmaster bracelet on eBay for it’s fair market value... but reputable listings with great photos don’t seem to go up very often! So here I am with my Speedy on a leather strap or NATO for the time being.

I’m disappointed that Omega hasn’t integrated their glidelock-style Seamaster clasp into a Speedy bracelet by now, like what Rolex has done with the Explorer.

A whole spectrum of goods. Many bad bracelets out there. But yes. Some keepers

I have the bracelet that Bill Mahoney (squinky) sells. I have not handled the vintage flat-link Omega bracelets, but Bill's aren't bad. If that were all I could get, I could live with it. On the other hand, I put the 1171/633 back onto my Seamaster 300 and I'm waiting for the Uncle Seiko flat link.

would you mind sharing some photos of the squinky bracelet on your watch? They look very good from the product photos. However, I feel they are highly overpriced

I'll see if I can find one but I posted one on here on a Seamaster 300, and he also features that pic.

You might find it before I do. 😀

Here ya go. My watchmaker refinished this at my request to match originals.

Looks gorgeous, thanks for sharing. Love the finish you applied to it. Where are squinky’s bracelets made? Have any shots of it on a Speedy?

I’m hopeful the UncleSeiko flat link has a finish and end links like yours - at squinky’s pricing, I’d want it to have this finish out of the box, but if the UncleSeiko bracelet doesn’t suffice, I’ll definitely consider this instead. Finish preference aside, I’ve no doubt the build quality is stellar based on all the feedback I’ve read.

Sold my Speedmaster, so you get what you get!

Uncle Seiko has said that he wants to do a good job of duplicating orginal Omega bracelets. Well worth being patient.

...

I have a Squinky flat link mounted on my Speedy Reduced. Hope the following pictures help (pls excuse the smudges on the bracelet in the 3rd pic).

Do note the endlinks from the above pictures are not from Squinky. Having said so, I find his #6 endlinks to fit my 105.002 very well, very pleased with them. I think Bill offers the flat link bracelet complete matte or with the outer links polished. You may want to reach out to him to verify the details if you are interested.
