So I sold my Ripple last week around 3.12 and bought it back this weekend at 2.85. Now it's around 2.60. Typical. 🙄

I still have hopes that the new administration will drop the lawsuit/administrative action/whatever against Ripple the company, and the coin will then rocket into space.

Either way, I'm not going to lose nor gain a huge amount of money. It's just for fun.

Prepare to be orange-pilled! Ignore bitcoin at your own peril! Lol

BTC whitepaper, BTC standard, 100’s of hours of study and youtubes in order to understand it.

As we all know, Ethereum just pulled off its massive Pectra upgrade yesterday.. and guess what? It went off without any issues, completely flawless, smooth, and honestly this is a big middle finger to all the FUD spreaders out there. OxCygaar, a software engineer for the Abstract chain, said on Twitter Pectra was like

'upgrading an airplane's engines mid flight,' and he is right. A decentralized network like Ethereum, with thousands of nodes worldwide, just upgraded 11 major improvements and without even blinking.

Meanwhile centralized systems can barely update their servers without crashing, do you see the difference here?

The haters always say Ethereum is too slow, too clunky, or cannot scale. Pectra just doubled blob capacity for L2 scaling, made wallets better and improved user experience a lot. User experience is what is most criticized in the Ethereum ecosystem, and that is what is being improved.

I gotta admit I was losing hope considering selling off ETH and throwin it in BTC. It seemed stuck, a damn stablecoin. But then you read about these live upgrades. Switching over to using 99.8 percent less electricity live. Despite all the 51% attacks and miner revolts. Now this most recent upgrade again done live and flawless. Much of blackrocks crypto plans involve the ETH blockchain and finally its pumping again, setting off an altcoin season. Reminds me I got into ETH as the tech fascinated me. I have no clue if this pump will last but my hopium in ETH is restored.

Also curious to see if this bitcoin breaking 100k again is going to set off a new ATH, personally I think it’s too soon but my predictions about the future are pretty much useless. I haven’t been to active buying anymore just staking and finding ways to get a good APY without incurring risk. I sold a few things, guitars and amps for ETH or btc. But it’s good to have that appreciation for ETH back. It was my first “full coin” purchase I can’t remember what my first one cost I think it was double digits. If I knew then what I know now I, well we all have those stories.

Definitely should not have bought the railmaster with bitcoin I think that was right before the Biden admin did chokepoint 2 which completely screwed my DCA which had been ongoing flawlessly but it’s not like I was the only one impacted it’s not like they targeted me in particular.

I hope ETH has a nice run, it’s not so much about the money as the camaraderie, funny memes and realizing your thoughts on magic internet money when everyone was scoffing at it were at least partly right.

It feels like the bull is on the way. There are a lot of positives coming out of the space with little price movement. XRP case finished yesterday and unusually the price went up, we are used to dips on good news in the XRP community. My plan remains the same, new money coming in is my exit liquidity.

I am in bitcoin for years now. Sometimes selling some (and buy watches from the winnings), sometimes just buying some (when the market is low). For now just waiting, hoping for Solana to pump someday again.

Solana is another one I got into early. Not that I picked up that much but I just staked it years ago and kinda forget about it. I know it’s down from its ATH but didn’t it come back decently during this ETH run? It has a useful network unfortunately so many scam coins and rug pulls made on the SOL chain plus that down time a few times but I was interested early due to its high TPS and cheap use.

In 2021 SOL also was at an ATH, and indeed in beginning 2025 again, but the two ATH's werent that much apart, around 20% or so. And yeah, the scams really did its thing on it.

I think that “pump fun” or whatever it is caused a lot of damage. I mean it’s good the SOL blockchain is accessible, handles all the traffic but when its primary use is for pump and dumps I don’t view that as a positive.

On a side note Coinbase released the news they had a serious data breach on 11May. What’s that three days after the move to SandP 500? I don’t keep much on Coinbase but it is the primary on and off ramp for many, also the custodian for many ETF and billionaires. Not a good look.

Jup. Totally agreed. Still hoping for Sol though, but selling now is also an option. Maybe some new initiatives will come through that really use the blockchain for something usefull but that hope is mostly gone for most of the blockchains now. I see crypto more as a stored value and the blockchain as something that CAN be very usefull but i havent seen any breakthroughs on that part.

Never knew 40% of bhutans gdp from Bitcoin mining. A few Bitcoin mining stocks have shot up a few 100% as they made deals with AI data centers as the data centers look to operate using less electricity. Many Bitcoin mining companies have jumped ahead in that matter as to stay profitable they need to operate on cheap electricity. It seems many are using geothermal power while the AI data centers are looking at nuclear.
AI is going to make Bitcoin look like kids play when it comes to power usage so it’s kinda interesting to see how they will make it work.

Yes economic collapse was upon us. The end was neigh. Now Nividia broke out and I did a little shopping during the downturn worked out well but my limited funds always keep me from hitting it big.
Black rock just bought another major load of btc. I think that moved the price a bit.

My prediction was a little off but ETH got legs.
