Are bracelets interchangeable if case size and model line is the same?

More specifically is there an easy way to find out without actually purchasing the new bracelet whether or not it would fit?

The bracelet in question is from a new ladies Aqua terra 150 34mm and will it fit the old 34mm ladies aqua terra that was just discontinued? In pics online the cases look the same to me. The new bracelet has more oval links that give it just a bit more feminine look. If the bracelet from the new model would fit, I would like to try and source one.

Thanks for any help in how I could find this info out.

That depend on the lug width first. Second would be on the end links having the correct spacing between the case edge and spring bar holes, and then lastly the end links having the matching curve of the case.

And don't try to source one. Search for it, find it, then buy it. Sourcing is too expensive.

Thanks for the info. Do you think an Omega boutique would be able to look it up based on model # and determine if the new fits the old?

Possibly. I don't know because I don't work at an Omega Boutique. They might even be able to attempt to fit the different bracelet onto the watch. You don't know until you ask.

At least the Omega Boutique In NYC did help a friend of mine with a similar query. They can also tell you IF there is an issue or not.

Please provide reference numbers for both the old and new watches, and I'll see what I can dig up...

So keep in mind that Omega doesn't condone putting parts from one watch on another - they only want people to put the bracelet on a specific watch that was what originally sold on that watch, or in the case where the original bracelet was discontinued, they will often have a replacement. So as a result Omega doesn't publish any lists that show how parts interchange between watches. The only thing you can really look up is what bracelet goes on what watch, so I've done that below...

    Old ref# 231.10.34.20.57.002 - bracelet is 020STZ001601.

    New ref# 220.10.34.20.57.001 - bracelet is 020STZ006278.

Now bracelets are often used on more than just one reference number, so using the bracelet numbers I can then look up all the cases that the specific bracelet is used for. Sometimes you get lucky and see that the bracelet is compatible with the case you are trying to fit it to, but in this case not so much. Information is below:

    Bracelet:
    020STZ001601

    Cases:
    055STZ001735
    055STZ002089
    055STZ004692

    Bracelet:
    020STZ006278

    Cases:
    055STZ006219
    055STZ006562

Since the two bracelets are never called out as being used on the same case, there's no way anyone (not even a Boutique) can tell you if they will fit other than physically trying to fit one.

    Cheers, Al

Nice! Thank you so much for looking all that up. Great info and great forum.

I will see if I can find one of the new bracelets on my own and give it a go. If it doesn't fit, I will just sell it onto someone else.
