I have been looking at several POs for sale. It would be my first PO in my growing Omega collection. But they all seem to be 42mm and larger. Meanwhile, the best size for my wrist is 37-39mm. Do I need to just look harder??
I'm confused by the "AT" on the title. If you'e asking about the Planet Ocean Line there is a whole line of them at 37.5 mm and you can have them on any combination you want from blue titanium to steel or steel on bracelet into the white faced and diamond bezel lines. If you're talking about the Aqua Terra (AT) they go from a ladies 34mm into 38.5 up to 41.5 an even 44 and a crazy 49.2 fro the xxl. So either way you're covered
Thanks for the info. It's the 37.5 I would be interested. Will keep looking. I edited the title - putting AT there was simple operator error!
here are the 37.5mm versions http://www.omegawatches.com/collection/seamaster/planet-ocean-600-m/co-axial-375-mm/23230382004001
In my experience POs wear smaller than you'd think, so make sure you try one on before you pull the trigger. I had the 42mm LM Ti and ending up flipping it due to how it wore. Now I wear the 45.5mm with a 7.25" wrist without any problems at all.
As above, the PO does wear a little differently than the size on paper and the pictures of the watch alone may indicate. I have a relatively small wrist (7") and wear a 42mm PO with no problems whatsoever. I will caution you, however, that if you are sensitive to a watch that sits tall on the wrist, you may not like the PO lineup. It doesn't bother me, but it does bother some.
And just an observation/my opinion, the 37.5mm PO looks a little odd with the smaller watch head and the standard full sized crown and He valve.
Unless you get a 2500 cal PO, those are a a little more balanced...and if you can find a LMLE 42mm then you're gold because you have it all, slim, ceramic, liquidmetal.... what's not to love?
Unless I'm completely off (which is highly possible) the Limited Edition ONLY came in black dial. But they're almost impossible to find now without selling a kidney or two
See here: http://www.omegawatches.com/collection/seamaster/planet-ocean/22230422001001 2500 movement thus the solid caseback, unlike the 8500's.
