I asked for an opinion on a Seamaster 165.024 I intended to buy (link to the thread) where we started discussion about the blue bezel inserts, but we couldn't come to any conclusion. Does anubody knows the answer?

PS. Other than examples given in the thread, I've found an interesting Hodinkee's video on youtube where the blue bezel insert was shown (at 13:30) on a military issued 164-024.

Why opening another thread to ask and discuss the same thing?

Ash answered you about the military origin. He’s one of the specialists about these sm300. So trust the guy.

About TSoloT, he thinks they’re genuine and have been delivered to South Africa mostly and some in the far east.

Sorry. In the first thread I asked about the particular watch, after reading all opinions I feel like the blue bezel is a general question which is dividing the OF comunity and needs attention.

So the community accepts them as original;

or the community does not accept them as original?

To qouote @watchyouwant

Walk away. Too expensive in today's market anyway. Blue bezel will always be the obstacle. You will be defending your Sea 300 all the time, which will in the end be the selling point and you will loose even more Money....

It probably depends on if you're buying or seling. I apologise if I misunderstood.
