Alright, so as I've been saying around the forum, I'm new to the watch thing. I did a lot of research looking for what would be my first step into the game(just bought my first- a Speedy pro) and couldn't help but watching some of his videos on You Tube. The only watch I don't think I've seen him trash is the Speedy pro and I wouldn't doubt he has and I just missed it. My question is, what is this guys deal?! Does anybody take him seriously? Is he just a nut and there for entertainment value or does he actually have merit amongst collectors? I just watched a video where he trashed all mid level watches but never said what was wrong with them. Specifically Tag Heuer Admittedly, I don't know squat enough to know a good piece from a bad one, but I can research to find out what the general consensus is on any particular piece. Forums are the best place to go for info on anything. Anyway, what is wrong with Tags? Anyway, from my newbie point of view, I can't hold much merit in anything this guy says because besides a bunch expletives being used in a childish manner, he never really seems to say much of anything! Can somebody please shed some light for me..

 

Archie... 15% good content, 30% swearing, 5% wrong, and 50% alcohol.

 

Archie is entertaining. His fire sale videos are very funny and once he tried to sell an old marble clock on his channel.

 

I still can't believe some people haven't caught on that it's a (funny) dude playing a character

His videos are even introduced now with "so-and-so AS Archie Luxury"

Of course, they still do get a bit tiring after a minute or two though

Can't say I've been through all of them, but I definitely laughed at some of the TAG Heuer rants etc.

I swear I have good taste! Really!

 

There's some amount of entertainment the first time you watch one of his videos and after that, the entertainment stops.

 

I would like a dermatologist to take a look at the lump on his head...........

The most I can say for him is, if he isn't actually a drunk, that's the best imitation of a drunk since Dudley Moore, and not far short of Richard Pryor.

 

When he's takes a breath for his next sentence.... he's not speaking!

 

Archie is the poor man's Al Pacino, but for the wristwatch world. Just like Pacino, he plays the same character over and over again, with the same rants, and same behavior...... except Archie's no Al Pacino - not even close.

 

A must add> (Al Pacino doesn't need a Bra.)

 

Obviously watch comedy is about as niche as it gets. Just find the ones where he trashes something you hate because there might be an insult you've not thought of yet.
