Hi all, I'm preparing for my first high end new watch purchase (I have a couple of 50s and 60s vintage Omega dress watches, an inherited Eterna and a couple of Seikos). Because I have quite small wrists, I've been looking at the one in the topic line, also seen here: https://www.omegawatches.com/watch-...aster-chronometer-ladies-38-mm-22010382003002 (yes, I know it's a ladies watch, but that doesn't bother me). Ernest Jones (a UK AD) currently have this on sale at £3,250 from £4,390. Through a story too long to explain, I'm getting a further 16.67% discount bringing it to a hair over £2,700. I think this seems like a steal for a new AT, with cal 8800, from an AD. I know the whole 'if you love it, the price shouldn't matter etc' but value is important to me, and even at £2.7k it's rather a lot of money (obviously). Hence, I thought I'd turn to you lovely ladies and gentlemen for thoughts (and some reassurance, I guess). What do you think?
I think the AT is an awesome watch. I am sorely tempted by the mens/unisex version, which is also 38mm: https://www.omegawatches.com/en-us/...axial-master-chronometer-38-mm-22010382003001 The AT is a great value even at 5700 USD, so the one you'd be getting is an incredible steal! It's 38mm (not, like 32mm or something), so it wouldn't read like a ladies' watch on your wrist at all.
