    Hey all,

I'm looking for a replacement crystal for my 2503.33 AT. I'm keen to do it myself if possible.

I would buy a genuine Omega part from cousins but they no longer supplies them or ofrei but I don't think they have the right size.

    Some advice is needed.

    1. I think that the case number for the 2500 ATs is 168.1111 but I'm not 100% sure. Can anyone confirm this, or give correct case number?

    2. If 168.1111 is correct, then I think the correct part for the crystal is 062SA3050. I've read that the dimensions of this part are 33mm diameter and 2.8mm height. Can anyone confirm that this is correct?

    3. Are there any other case numbers that might take the same size crystal?

Any help or suggestions warmly welcomed!

The crystal for your watch is:

    062SA3050 | GLASS SAPPHIRE AG1S D33 H2.8

You will also need a new crystal gasket:

    298EG2996

Note that the crystal dimensions don't tell the whole story - it's not just a plain, flat crystal obviously.

You will also need a very good crystal press in order to install the crystal without damaging the gasket - I would recommend getting a few gaskets. There are also specific procedures to follow when installing these - it's best left to a watchmaker to be honest.

    Cheers, Al

    Hey Al,
Thanks for that. I have a crystal press but I certainly wouldn't describe it as 'very good.' I do have access to a watchmaker friend who would do it for me. I'm just trying to source the part--although it seems to be a less common part than I would have thought.

Thanks for the heads-up about the gaskets.

    Hey Al,

Any ideas how I might get my hands on one of these? I've tried Cousins and Ofrei. I've kept an eye out for eBay and even emailed a few sellers of other crystal sizes. Put an ad on WUS. I keep coming up with nothing.

I'm not really sure who would have these outside of official distribution channels. You could start calling other material suppliers to see if they happen to have one I guess. There are plenty of them out there besides Cousins and Otto Frei.

Hi Al, could you please confirm what would be the front sapphire crystal and sapphire gasket for the 36mm Railmaster 2504.52.00 ? Case number is 168.1112 as shown below. I search online and found from Cousins the following:

    062SA3051 GLASS SAPPHIRE AG1S D30 H2.79

Is this the correct sapphire? What would be the correct crystal gasket?

    Thanks

    Francisco
