·I have a UG Compax purchased in the early 60s to replace the one I bought in 1957 with my 21st birthday money and later stolen.
Numbering is 22295 4

So my watch was manuf. in the period 1957/59.
I have no recollection of the strap/bracelet on my first UG but I still have the Fixoflex s/s bracelet I bought with my current watch. I replaced the Fixoflex years ago because of its propensity to gather crud, replacing it with a bog standard non-expanding s/s bracelet.
What would be the most appropriate vintage bracelet (leaving Gay Freres out of the equation)?
Before I tell you about my (possibly foolish) purchases so far I would appreciate some comments on my opening Q.
Btw there are lots of "UG" leather straps on offer but nobody seems to be selling (fake) buckles.
