I am trying to find a time appropriate complete bezel for my 145.002 -1968 861 movement Omega Speedmaster Pro. Does anyone know specifics as to where it is a Dot over ninety or a beside 90 dot for this era watch?

Thanks in advance any help and if someone has one for sale,,,,, please let me know!

Hi @Rick73852

Looks like there could be a pretty good dial hiding underneath that scratched-up plexi. As to your question on the bezel; it will definitely have come with a Dot Over Ninety as this is a 145.022-68. It's only sometime mid-range of the succeeding 145.022-71 that the Dot Next to Ninety replaced the DON.

Assuming the case-back is correct for the movement, then it would be DON. However, if you could post the serial number (at least 5 digits) we could give you better guidance. DNN started during 145.022-69, not -71 as indicated above.

Makes sense to go by the movement number indeed. That said, an Applied Metal Logo on a vintage Speedmaster is enough of a tell-tale in its own right. 😉

Maybe you're right. Even if the movement were wrong for the dial, a DON would look better with it.
