    Hi all,
A couple of weeks ago I discovered for myself this Apollo SOYUZ watch - and I really liked it. So I signed up here to find out more.. Would any owners like to share their thoughts in regards to this watch - any issues or otherwise?
    Regards,
    -V

Thank you for your response. I did try searching - mostly I found some old "for sale" threads as well as a discussion on a suspicious $5k Apollo Soyuz sold on eBay a little while ago.. So I didn't find a lot)
    Regards,
    Vladimir

Hi, thank you for the link! Although it seems like this one is not the one I had in mind - looks like there's more than one model. I'm admiring the one with the meteorite dial!

Check out the links that have already been posted. I reckon you can't go wrong with one of these. Beautiful looking watches.

Ya, I did read them - looks like there are a lot of owners here. I guess once I have 200 posts I will post a WTB ad

Its a very pretty piece, but do keep in mind its also a sapphire crystal on this one not hesalite which isn't everyone's preference. You can PM someone selling one if they have a listing without 200 posts by the way and if you have proof of previous transactions and references we can manually give you access. Also try to set an avatar so its easier to recognise you

Cool - I'll keep checking the "for sale" forums.. As far as previous transactions and references - I've been on ebay since 2001 (same username) - 100% feedback. And I also sold my Omega there on ebay - just a few days ago before I discovered this forum.

I actually saw a Speedyorite at an Omega boutique, NOS, in the last week, if you can believe it.

    Repo,

I saw one too at ours and the apollo 15th anniversary. I wanted to buy it and then I thought it has been sitting since 2011.

Got one recently from a trusted seller on here. One of my most favorite watches I've ever owned.

    Absolutely love it.

I've never seen one anywhere else in person. One of the rarer Speedy's, in my opinion, though I don't think it was abnormally rare by production.

The standard for a sell out LE is around 2000 units, the Gemini 4, Speedeorite, Alaska, Speedytuesday, Snoopy2 and Apollo 12 45th are all that and did sell out in reasonable time frames.

Then there are some like the Apollo 11 40th LE that were not unique or interesting enough and were made in too great a number, 7969 in that example and I still know of ADs with them sitting in cases. Since that release they seem to have been far more careful and kept the numbers actually limited to around that 2,000 figure.

Wow, almost 8000 of them? That's unusual; did not know that abut the Apollo 11 40th.

Agreed that keeping them to ~2000 makes sense for LE's.

I know that Seamaster LE's have been greater than 2000, but it feels like a much more popular model line to me. (I say feel since I don't have #'s to back it up.)

There was 1975 (The year of the Apollo Soyuz mission) 35th Anniversary Speedmasters made. The caseback is also a bit different and very nice.

The original hang tag was on the piece and was marked $8800 USD, but when Omega found several of these watches last year from their AD network, they brought them back to the Omega Boutiques, and I believe they repriced them at $10,000 USD.
