 I very much like the balanced and clean look of it!

and interesting that Omega are using long tritium indices on a later watch?

googling a bit I also found these pics, with silver rehaut and plenty of space around the seconds ring and visible t swiss t ???

yes Niklas, clean look is a very good description. It has a very good aesthetical over all balance and the long indexes makes it look serious.
Concerning the silver rehaut I do not think, that it came with that in 1975 but there are many mystries about this very special watch.

    I love this watch

This is the only limited production Speedmaster that I one day hope to have in my collection, thanks for sharing.

Have you had it long? I haven't seen one of these for sale since about 2010.

Whenever BASE1000 posts pictures of a watch it serves as a reminder to me as to what's still missing in my collection!

Dibs, although I suspect it will never leave your collection. This is my birthyear Speedie and has been on my shortlist ever since I learned about it.

Both straight lugs in the pic are 2915's, the -1 and the -3. The -3 is maybe my overall favorite. It is still from the very first batches of Speedys still with this magic numbers in the case back and on the movement . But it anticipates already the look of the later classic Speedys and in the same time shows a very particular done dial and hands which are found together only on this very model that was coming in the later 1959. The -1 of course has the magic to be the first. But I wear it less regularly with its museums aura.

the Apollo-Soyuz Test Project was the last mission in the Apollo program and was the first joint flight of the U.S. and Soviet space programs. The mission took place in July 1975.
This is a commemorative edition watch in 500 pieces of the "orbital-randezvous" between American APOLLO and Russian SOYUZ spacecraft.
This speedmaster is full of particularity such as:
    - limited edition of 500 (the serial number of each one movement must exactly fit into a determined range 39.180.xxx - 39.181.xxx)
(it is mandatory to obtain a specific extract of archives from Omega)
    - stunning mission's LOGO on the DIAL
    - for the first time OMEGA do not indicate "Speedmaster" on the dial
    - Pushers are incredibly big, the biggest ever 5,5mm.
    - a wonderful back with the limited number engraved (from 1 to 500) (pay attention that it's mandatory the presence of the limited number engraved)
    - the bracelet is ref. 1168 with end links 633 very similar to an OYSTER from ROLEX
    - very long indexes like in 321 dials
    Ciao Marco
