Not sure if this is a member’s watch but my main question relates to the funk on the back case. Is that rust? The dial looks pretty good but what’s going on in the back?

Looks like that purple protective coating they put on them.

 

To me that looks like one of those plastic protectors that's gotten funky over the last 25 years. It shouldn't be rust, that case back is stainless steel.

Just looks like an old plastic caseback protector a bit curled up at the edge, no rust.

I'd like to see some much closer shots of those lume plots. I do like this reference though, and the full kit is nice too.
