Apollo 11 45th Speedmaster dial

    I'm curious to find out a little more about the dial - it's laser-cut and PVD'd according to Omega's blurb.

    I'm wondering what the material of the dial is? I presume it's PVD'd after etching, otherwise the base material would be revealed?

    Does anyone have any insight into Omega's production techniques?

    Interesting question, not sure but it certainly does look pretty, especially given it takes a chocolate tone almost similar to early 321s.
