Does seem cheap. I would have to see some pics of the gold hallmark before opening my wallet for that one.
Badly refinished dial. Caseback looks badly dinged. No pictures of the inner caseback and movement - may not be 18k and may not be a swiss case.
Ick. Yuck. I'd bet that it's a South American made case, which won't have anywhere near the same amount of gold as an authentic Swiss case.
In order for the case to have the advertised amount of gold value (£380), it would need to weigh just short of a half-ounce without the movement, dial or crystal. If a Swiss made case, I'd say it was possible. If it's a South American case, highly unlikely. I think this seller just weighed the watch whole, did the math and made the erroneous assumption that's it's all gold. gatorcpa
Seller does indicate that the case is hallmarked, inside, on the case side and back of one lug, which would likely indicate a Swiss case.
I asked the seller to provide movement and case back photos which he has added to the listing showing a proper Swiss hallmarked case, as I suspected based on his notation of hallmark placement. Movement looks clean as well.
The seller added the additional information to the listing, including the case ref. 2896. This makes it a Tresor model. Cal. 267 movement matches up with the Omega Vintage Database for that reference. Only question is whether a redialled Tresor with dings in the caseback is worth $750. I'll leave that for others to decide, gatorcpa
