On the radar but dunno if it's "gotta get" just yet...

I've always liked this worldtimer, now it's in ceramised titanium. Pretty expensive, but nothing else I've seen this year has put me in a frenzied "gotta have" mode.

The new Breitling Premiers are gorgeous. That brand has been totally reinvigorated in my opinion. If only they weren't so bloody expensive.

I like the chronograph/ calendar but not in this color.

There’s one release from this year, that makes me want a release from 2019.

Stick with me on this: Bulgari’s release this year of the world’s thinnest perpetual calendar (pictured in foreground below) means that in the last 7 years Bulgari has broken 6 world records for thinness:

This ‘dink article summarizes the 5 additional world records broken by Bulgari since 2014 (also photographed above):

And now this perpetual calendar, with retrograde date, at 2.75mm.

Compare the envelope-pushing that Bulgari is doing compared to... any other manufactures these days?

For me, it’s been the 2019 world’s thinnest OF GMT-chrono that is the Bulgari apple in my eye. Among the reasons I’m attracted to it: having an example of what appears to be an impressive legacy Bulgari is building - with this year’s release just continuing that trend.

So, Bulgari’s release of this week makes me even more want the GMT-chrono release from 2019:

I think it's time for you to give in and buy one of these.

Thankfully I’ve been throttled by two things:

(1) this is a watch that must be seen in metal, and COVID hasn’t gotten me there

(2) I’m not buying one at MSRP

Soon as I can see one in flesh, then find one on 2ndary, I’ll be very tempted!

FWIW I feel the same way. Except, for me, in the end I don't think I will be likely to splurge on a watch I can't see wearing very often at all.

I've had my eyes for the exp1 for some time but was hesitant to pull $6k for the vintage 14270/114270. I collect vintage Omega and am used to scratches. For some reason, I couldn't look pass them on the exp1 especially if it were on the bezel.

Gotta get the new 2021 exp1 36mm, so glad they brought it back. Also, it is $6,450 MSRP which is close to the asking of its predecessors. Brand new is better... Does that mean I can get one though? Probably not 😗 I will dream about that and also, the DJ palm dial 😟

Loving the Grand Seiko 'Birch' dial, but the price is a bit more than I'm willing to pay. Love the dial and the blued hand!

Given its size, it will be interesting to see what price it settles at on the grey market after they’ve been around a few months. Just being the new new, it’ll have hypeflation, but maybe not as much as it might.

Agree. Bulgari is on fire.
