Yellow is not so unusual, even on Omegas...

At least this one is a genuine, never refinished product; not a Tokyo ebay special :p

I don't know how anyone could wear that for an extended period of time. I hurts my eyes just glancing at it on the computer screen, I think I would need to wear sunglasses anytime I was wearing the watch.

I am not surprised at a Seiko with a yellow dial. But not an Omega, and most certainly not a Rolex! It was my impression that Rolex had an agreement with dial refinishers as to what was permitted, and what was not. image.jpeg

I think it highly unlikely that Rolex has an agreement with every dial refinishing company on the planet to tell them what they can and can't do...that just doesn't make any sense at all. Rolex or not, if it's your watch, you can get the dial refinished however you want to. It's just a watch after all, and there are millions more like it out there.

Of course the Omega I posted above is completely genuine. Ref. 35111200.

    Cheers, Al

    Al,

I really don't know how I could survive without you to keep me straight......yet again! ::shy:: It is actually quite flattering to realize that much of what I say on this MB is worthy of your attention! I do know that dial refinishers often ask for proof a dial is from a Rolex, if the name on the dial is unreadable. This is true for many high profile, well known prestige brands. I've had it happen to me!

it also says Redone Dial. The said maybe they did a yellow one bad in the day. Looks like something Ryan Gosling would wear. Actually, it could be a fun watch to have.

I am more intrigued by the finger condoms than the watch.

Okay...they are really finger cots though...designed to keep oily finger prints off watch parts.
