I thought it would fit quite well with the space race aspirations of the Speedsonic... ;)

I'm no expert...but my Omega replica NASA strap is my fave. It came as part of my Speedy Gonzales Moonwatch presentation box set. Initially, the strap was fairly stiff and scratchy but became extremely comfortable after several wearings. It's the most comfortable strap that I own.

LATE ENTRY @tyrantlizardrex: Don't be alarmed if initially there is some longitudinal nylon thread separation along the edges of the strap...this happened to my strap initially but stopped after a few threads came off each side.

Below are some adventure pics of my Speedy Gonzales with the Omega replica NASA strap...good times!

Come on people! NASA no longer uses them as they are now sewn into the arm of the spacesuit under a cover. So if you want to be authentic you need the spacesuit mantle!!! poseurs!

Also on that note is that a good price, and is there an actual authentic one? I need one for my hopefully new -76 purchase!

I think they are awesome. The more vintage, the better......

I tend to like the Brits that make these vintage NASA spec velcro straps, look great and the material is solid. They tend to come up irregularly on eBay.

The Kizzi NASA Velcro reproduction strap is the way to go if you really want that vintage retro feel.

I totally agree! Very hit or miss to get one from him in recent months. I've been holding out for one of his straps for awhile :(

Oh. Boo to that then. They've generally been the go-to for velcro straps though. Any insight into when they'll restock?
